HTS New England worked closely with the consulting engineer to provide a unique, low-sound, custom Technical Systems Inc (TSI) ducted indoor air cooled chiller with low-sound centrifugal condenser fans for this sound-sensitive project. This air cooled chiller is located completely indoors with condenser air ducted in and out. Air cooled chillers require considerably less maintenance and first-cost than water cooled chillers, but are usually limited to being mounted outdoors. Sound at the property line is always a concern in the quaint, beautiful town of Hingham, so a traditional outdoor mounted air cooled chiller was not going to work. HTS New England provided a solution that met the stringent sound requirements of the project and allowed for complete indoor maintenance of a piece of equipment that is traditionally limited to outdoor mounting.
