HTS New England supplied an efficient installation and trouble free startup for the Sanofi Genzyme renovation. Sanofi Genzyme is a specialty unit that focuses on the treatment of rare diseases, as part of a leading biotechnology company focused on the development of treatments for genetic disorders. Completed in 1996, the Allston Plant was the first of seventeen Genzyme facilities built worldwide.
Fitting the existing footprint was a high priority, as was a swift setup of the chiller, to prevent a long disruption of research in the lab. Through weekly meetings with the Genzyme staff, Hart Engineering, Siemens, and Daikin Service, HTS coordinated the delivery and installation of a 1200 ton Daikin Magnitude Magnetic Bearing Chiller during a scheduled plant shut down.
The oil-free chiller will provide consistent, high efficient cooling for the 100,000 square-foot building over its entire life span.
