Achieving LEED Silver was a major goal of the city of Boerne’s new Patrick Heath Public Library. HTS Texas helped make that a reality with its quality, high-efficiency air handling solution.
Two Daikin McQuay Vision air handling units and five Destiny models were installed at the library, totaling 34,630 CFM. Completed in just six months, these seven quiet AHUs maximized the efficiency of the HVAC system for the 30,000 square-foot building and earned it the LEED Silver status the city was pushing for. For its achievements, the project was nominated for the 2011 Excellence in Construction Awards in the $5-$10 million category.
