Located in Northwest Austin near the Domain, building A of the National Instruments campus needed an upgrade to their current HVAC system. National Instruments was looking for an energy-efficient, cost-effective solution for their HVAC system in this 8-story building. HTS Texas provided a balance of efficiency and savings with its Daikin product line.
A 330 ton Daikin high-efficiency air-cooled chiller was installed, replacing the old HVAC system. After researching major HVAC providers, the client settled on the Daikin Pathfinder because it proved to better meet the project’s goals than the alternative options. The premium efficiency air-cooled chiller, equipped with a VFD, exceeds the competition in terms of energy efficiency, low sound levels, and long-run savings. The client was looking to save money in energy costs over time rather than up-front, and HTS Texas was able to meet this demand with its offering of high-efficiency chillers.
On top of being completed over Thanksgiving and requiring an after-hour start-up, the chiller also had to be integrated into National Instruments’ existing Building Automation System. Mechanical Contractor, M-Tech, successfully installed the unit allowing the client to see immediate savings with their new high-efficiency chiller.
