Music Lane is a huge new mixed-use development covering an area of over 300,000 square feet. From retail stores to restaurants, office spaces to high-end hotels, and even an underground parking lot with CO/NO2 detection and exhaust fan control and Daikin VRV for space comfort needs, Music Lane fills the retailer gap between downtown and South Austin. The project included planning a system for spaces that were built out as well as already completed spaces while working with numerous different general contractors and mechanical contractors for each of the different buildings. The team worked diligently and creatively to plan where the wiring for the VRV system would run while also allowing for multiple VRV changes throughout the development to meet tenant load requests.
