The next-generation broadcast facility for KPRC in Houston is the new prized station of the Graham Media Group. The 60,000-square-foot building is the home for their many digital platforms.
The facility was designed to withstand the impact of severe weather and hurricanes and to always be fully operational. This was a unique project as we were tasked to incorporate a quiet and energy-efficient HVAC system with chiller and fan redundancy that would operate without fail 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To meet these needs, our team installed two Daikin air-cooled scroll chillers, four Daikin Vision modular air handling units (AHUs), Danfoss variable frequency drives (VFDs), Krueger fan coil units, and a Daikin mini-split.
