Downtown Amarillo, TX is adding to its downtown revitalization project with a six-story Embassy Suites hotel and convention center. The hotel, set to open in summer 2017, will include 226 guest rooms, 15,500 square feet of meeting space, and 4,400 square feet for retail and a hotel restaurant. HTS was chosen as the basis of design to equip the new facility with an HVAC system that features maximum energy efficiency and minimal noise to create a peaceful environment for guests while saving money in the long term for building owners.
HTS worked with Summit Consultants and C&E Mechanical to provide the ideal air conditioning system for the building. With help from DXS, HTS was able to provide Daikin VRV technology for the hotel rooms to create maximum flexibility and temperature control for the end users while maintaining energy efficiency. In addition to the equipment provided by DXS, HTS equipped the hotel with 23 Daikin Maverick I commercial packaged rooftop systems, five Daikin Rebel rooftop systems, one Munters pool dehumidifier, six Captive Air Kitchen MUA units, and 119 Twin City Fans, Krueger GRDs, and dampers. HTS and DXS worked together to provide a comprehensive equipment package that offered the best value for the project.
