HTS Texas fitted the 7-floor Harris County Hospital with a new premium efficiency HVAC system featuring Daikin Applied units.
Chosen due to previous success with Gray Mechanical, HTS worked with the client and contractor to design a system that met everyone’s goals both budget-wise and quality-wise. Air quality and the ability to maintain that quality during emergency situations was a major concern for the client. There were also particular requirements regarding cabinet construction, coil rows, coil fins and motor horsepower. HTS was able to meet all the demands of the client with the flexibility offered by Daikin Applied’s customizable units.
Fourteen Daikin Applied high-efficiency Vision air handling units were installed, totaling 200,000 CFM. Also provided were two Skyline units with a total of 44,000 CFM. HTS Texas provided 45 VAV boxes and 22 fan coil units, which totaled 30,000 CFM. Lastly, six Daikin Applied Destiny blower coil units were installed, totaling 2,000 CFM. ss
