Founded in 1965 and formerly known as the Houston School of Commercial Art, The Art Institute of Houston eventually outgrew their existing facility and moved to a new 76,000 square foot building located at the Southwest Freeway and Drexel Drive.
HTS Texas was selected to provide a complete high efficiency HVAC system at a low cost for this new construction project. The equipment included one 90 Ton Daikin McQuay air cooled chiller, two Daikin McQuay Vision air handling units totaling 11,900 cfm, eight Daikin McQuay packaged 100% outdoor air Maverick II rooftop units with vibration isolation curbs totaling 360 Tons, a 2000 cfm Daikin McQuay split system and a 2 Ton Daikin mini split.
