OnRamp, a data center operations company, expanded its presence in Austin with the building of a second data center. OnRamp is an Austin-based company and the new 42,000 square-foot center was built due to demand as most of its hosting services are delivered through Austin. The center will deliver true 2N power to customers.
Since the data center will operate 24/7, an energy-efficient HVAC system was a key point in the selection process. HTS Texas was able to offer Daikin McQuay equipment, which surpassed the competitors in efficiency and quality. HTS worked closely with the engineer, Dunham, to prove Daikin’s build quality. As a result, HTS was chosen as basis of design for the project.
With the center’s need for energy efficiency and tight humidity control, HTS provided two 125-ton Daikin RoofPak rooftop units and one 30-ton Maverick II 100% Outside Air Unit. The equipment was competitively priced and cost-effective, making it ideal for the project’s tight budget without sacrificing quality.
