San Antonio ISD’s Bonham Academy was having issues communicating with their BAS system, leading to poor control of their HVAC equipment. We were asked to incorporate an energy-efficient control system that would save the school district money long-term. SAISD was used to working with proprietary equipment, so we used this opportunity to introduce them to Distech by installing a Distech Controls IP-based Eclypse. An additional hurdle to the project was that we could only complete our work after hours as students and staff occupied the school during the day. If a piece of equipment was altered, it had to be up and running the next day before the kids showed up for school. Our energy-efficient and cost-effective solution kept students and staff comfortable, and ultimately landed us a second job for the school district.
