The One Gas project was an expansive assignment that spanned the scope of mechanical equipment, VRV equipment, and a controls system that needed a team that could provide the entire package to meet all of their needs. By collaborating with KCI Technologies, HTS offered a one-stop, all-inclusive solution.
The installations took place in an office building and a warehouse. The main equipment for this job included six Daikin Rebel rooftop units (RTUs) and one Mav 1 RTU, Krueger fan-powered boxes and VAVs, and Big Ass Fans along with Global Plasma Solution FC Bi-Polar Ionization, a Daikin AC Ductless mini-split and accessories, and Thybar Corporation RTU Curbs.
The office building was renovated with VAV (variable air volume) rooftop units that served different spaces throughout the building and are controlled based upon that area’s specific needs. These VAV RTU’s modulate airflow to efficiently and effectively moderate the building’s temperature, leading to energy savings and quick comfort. Additionally, several Big Ass Fans were installed in the warehouse to help move large amounts of air around to help cool the space.
Once all the equipment was installed, HTS controls equipped the office and warehouse spaces with the latest technology from Distech which included Bluetooth-enabled touch-screen room sensors. The advanced space sensors paired with the free Distech Controls Personify mobile app allows users to view the space conditions and adjust the setpoints directly from their phone. Additionally, by leveraging the Distech IP-based Eclypse controllers, HTS was able to provide a stable, robust, and easy-to troubleshoot network system.
