Doherty High School implemented a state-of-the-art HVAC system to enhance energy efficiency and comfort across its campus. The project featured a comprehensive solution utilizing Daikin, Haakon, and Valent equipment, all specified as Basis of Design (BOD) and equipped with Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) coils.
Key features of the rooftop equipment include energy recovery wheels designed to reduce the heating and cooling load and Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) technology for a fully electric solution. Additionally, Haakon units were equipped with HPT wrap-around heat pipes, providing “free” dehumidification to maintain optimal indoor air quality.
- 7 Haakon AHUs with Energy Recovery Wheels, wrap around HPT heat pipe, VRF coils, and VRF Condensing units.
- 1 Daikin AHU with Energy Recovery Wheels, wrap around HPT heat pipe, VRF coils, and VRF Condensing units.
- 1 Daikin MAU with wrap around HPT heat pipe, VRF coils, and VRF Condensing units.
- 17 Valent Energy Recovery Units with ASHP
- 40 Daikin Blowercoils
